Overview

This is more than just a tour—it is a deep dive into the soul of the city. After being picked up(or not) from your hotel, you’ll join our expert guide for an insightful journey through Nairobi's historic landmarks and modern architectural icons. As you walk, you’ll discover the historical significance and contemporary relevance of each site. You will discover modern day culture of Nairobi including transactions and the value of good and services.

Along the way, enjoy an optional taste of Kenya with a fresh fruit salad or sampling of Nyama Choma (local roasted goat meat). Immerse yourself further by learning essential Swahili phrases from your guide, which you can practice while interacting with locals at the vibrant Nairobi City Market.

We’ll share "insider tricks" on how to negotiate the best deals for souvenirs and point out the most affordable(fixed prices) local stores. To ensure you’re looking your best, we even include a complimentary shoe shine from a local vendor and a professional street-style photo captured by one of Nairobi’s talented urban photographers.

Feel free to ask your guide anything about life in Kenya—we are here to make your stay unforgettable.

The following are sites you will visit or see on your way: Jeevanje Gardens, Nairobi City Market, Jamia Mosque, McMillan Memorial Library, Askari Monument, Stanley Hotel, Dedan Kimathi Monument, Maasai Market, Supreme Court, Kenyatta International Convention Center, Parliament Buildings and the Holy Family Basilica.
